Laura L Schulz
Laura Schulz, MD, is a board-certified pediatric hematologist/oncologist and the Medical Director of Hematology/Oncology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital - Toledo. She earned her medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine, received her residency training at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and completed her pediatric fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine. Prior to relocating to Toledo in 2024 from Anchorage, Alaska, Dr. Schulz founded the state’s first pediatric oncology program that delivers comprehensive cancer care to children across Alaska, including access to clinical trials, chemotherapy, radiation and complex surgical treatment. Through this work, Dr. Schulz was awarded the Alaska Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018 by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

James Geiger, MD, serves as Chief of Pediatric Surgery at Nationwide Children’s Hospital - Toledo and treats patients at both Nationwide Children’s - Toledo and ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital. He earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, completed his general surgery residency and a fellowship in surgical clinical care at the University of Michigan as well as a fellowship in pediatric surgery at Mott Children’s Hospital. Dr. Geiger is board certified in pediatric surgery, general surgery and surgical critical care. He practices the full breadth of pediatric surgery and has a clinical interest in complex cancer surgery, inflammatory bowel disease, hepatobiliary surgery and advanced minimally invasive surgery techniques for many conditions.

DingDing Xiong, MD, is a board certified cardiologist at Nationwide Children’s - Toledo. He earned his medical degree from Jiangxi Medical College, received his residency training at Driscoll Children’s Hospital - Corpus Cristi and completed his fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Xiong’s expertise includes fetal and pediatric cardiology as well as adult congenital heart disease. In addition, Dr. Xiong has significant research experience in cardiomyopathy and heart failure caused by viral infection and genetic defects.
