Peter L. Lu, MD, MS is a pediatric gastroenterologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, OH. Dr. Lu attended Northwestern University for both his undergraduate and medical education before completing residency training in pediatrics, fellowship training in gastroenterology, and advanced fellowship training in gastrointestinal motility disorders at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Lu specializes in neurogastroenterology and motility disorders and as Research Director of the GI Motility Center conducts research evaluating novel, technology-based diagnostic tests and treatments for children with these disorders. He has a particular interest in the use of neurostimulation in children, including gastric electrical stimulation and sacral nerve stimulation. He is co-creator and host of Bowel Sounds: The Pediatric GI Podcast, the official podcast of the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition (NASPGHAN).
