Steven W Bruch
Steven Bruch, MD, MSc is a pediatric surgeon treating patients at Nationwide Children’s Hospital - Toledo and ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital. Dr. Bruch earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois, received his general surgery residency training at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California and completed his pediatric surgical fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario. He also received a Master of Science degree in Clinical Research Design and Statistical Analysis from the University of Michigan. Dr. Bruch is board certified in both general surgery and pediatric surgery and has a clinical interest in thoracic and abdominal neonatal surgery as well as endocrine surgery.

Emily C. De Los Reyes, MD, is an attending pediatric neurologist at Nationwide Children’s and Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Neurology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She serves as director of the Nationwide Children’s Batten Disease Center of Excellence and is lead specialist of the Pediatric Neurology Neurodevelopmental Clinic. She is also the lead autism specialist and the Neurology subspecialty chair of the Autism Treatment Network at Nationwide Children’s. Nationwide Childrens Hospital Clinical Trial to Use Drug to Boost Immune System Function in Critically Injured Children, May Prevent Infection
Thanks to funding from the National Institutes of Health, Nationwide Children’s Hospital will test the ability of a drug commonly used to improve immune function in pediatric cancer patients to help prevent hospital-acquired infection after severe trauma.
