The regional or national support services listed below are support networks that are frequently used by families at Children's Hospital. There are numerous other support organizations that are not listed below.

The American Diabetes Association provides diabetes testing to see if a person is at high risk for diabetes. Other services include patient education, community education, professional education and Advocacy.

C.A.R.E. For Fire Victims Edith Asbury, Founder
Services provided include support for fire victims, their friends and families. Smoke detectors available at meetings - no fee. Fire safety programs are also available to educate groups on prevention techniques.

Services include information and educational support for those living with a child diagnosed with or suspected of having Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Fetal Alcohol Effects.
Kinship Care for families Kinship Care Navigators:

Support for those who are caring for the children of relatives. The navigator program will assist the families in finding resources for financial assistance, medical assistance for the children, support groups, education, child care, respite care, counseling and guidance assistance as well as food, clothing and legal information.
Neurofibromatosis 1&2


Support group for patients and family members who suffer from NF1 and NF2. In conjunction with the Acoustic Neuroma Association and the national Neurofibromatosis Foundation we welcome your referrals.

An organization of families who adopt, provide foster care or kinship care. Its purpose is to support these families through programs of education, support, advocacy and leadership.
