Molly Fuchs, MD, has been named chief of the Department of Pediatric Urology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, effective August 1, 2025.

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – Molly Fuchs, MD, has been named chief of the Department of Pediatric Urology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, effective August 1.

She will also serve as chief of the Division of Pediatric Urology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine Department of Urology. Dr. Fuchs has served as a urologist at Nationwide Children’s since 2017 with a clinical and research focus on neurogenic bladder, cloacal malformations, and anorectal anomalies. She currently serves as the director of clinical operations for the urology department and urology director for the Myelomeningocele clinic.

Dr. Fuchs plays a vital role as a surgeon with the Center for Colorectal and Pelvic Reconstruction for the management of cloacal malformation. Along with her team, Dr. Fuchs has introduced groundbreaking advancements that have transformed cloacal malformation surgical practices and has provided a roadmap for ongoing improvement in patient outcomes. She is also a leader in research and education efforts with over 80 published papers and numerous honors.

Rama Jayanthi, MD, the former chief of the Department of Pediatric Urology who will continue to serve on faculty. “Not only is she a terrific surgeon, but she also is so passionate about offering thoughtful, patient-centered care. I am confident that the department will grow and thrive under her leadership.”

Dr. Fuchs graduated from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. She then went on to complete her internship and residency in urology at University of Utah Health Services Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Fuchs then completed her fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
