ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Our community made it possible. Now it’s time to celebrate! On Sunday, Nationwide Children’s Hospital will host a “Community Celebration Day” in honor of the completion of its seven-year campus expansion that truly transforms the delivery of pediatric health care right here in central Ohio. The community is invited to come and check out their new children’s hospital with behind-the-scenes tours of the new hospital. Former and current patients are encouraged to attend.
The event features family-friendly activities for kids of all ages including interactive education stations, touch-a-truck exhibit with emergency medical service vehicles, jugglers, face painting, inflatables and games.
Also at the event will be The Columbus Wishing Tree Project in which a number of live trees have traveled all around the city for the last couple of weeks and return to Nationwide Children’s campus. Wishes of all kinds are encouraged and include well wishes for current and former patients of the hospital as well hospital staff and other folks touched by Nationwide Children’s. Wishing trees date back to ancient China and have become a special way to inspire hope throughout the world.
