The Dale and Amy Earnhardt Fund for Pediatric Rehabilitation and Injury

With Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s racing career coming to an end in 2017, he now looks to extend his legacy off the track with The Dale and Amy Earnhardt Fund at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. In partnership with Nationwide and The Dale Jr. Foundation, The Dale and Amy Earnhardt Fund supports Nationwide Children’s courageous patients and their families in the area of pediatric injury rehabilitation, research and prevention, helping patients and families rehabilitate from brain injuries, head and spinal cord injuries, and other physically disabling conditions and injuries.

Dale & Amy Earnhardt Activity Room

Named in 2017 in celebration of their wedding, the Dale and Amy Earnhardt Activity Room at Nationwide Children’s Hospital recognizes the incredible generosity and support the Earnhardts, the Dale Jr. Foundation and Nationwide have provided to the hospital. The room is located on the Rehabilitation floor of the hospital and gives patients a special place to have group therapy sessions, participate in craft activities and spend time with their family.

Gus & Junebug Animal Friends

We know that animals have a powerful effect on healing, which is one reason why Nationwide Children’s has brought animals into our hospital. Each hand-carved Animal Friend is designed to entertain patients and provide a positive distraction. Recently, we welcomed our two newest friends: Gus, an Irish setter, and Junebug, a Pomeranian. They were designed in honor of Dale and Amy Earnhardt’s two special, furry family members and will reside in the Magic Forest to represent the incredible support received from the Earnhardt family and the Dale Jr. Foundation.

For each Gus & Junebug figurine sold, $10 will benefit the Dale and Amy Earnhardt Fund at Nationwide Children’s.
