Services We Offer

The Nationwide Children’s Hospital School Health Services team provides technical assistance to ensure the successful implementation of sustainable, high impact, school health models. We provide on-site technical assistance and coaching around topics such as:

  • Establishing new School-based Health Centers, including telehealth, vision, dental, behavioral health, mobile health units, etc.
  • Establishing school-based specialty care programs, i.e., sports medicine, asthma, diabetes, etc.
  • Facilitating comprehensive School Health Learning Collaboratives for teams new to school health partnerships
  • Crafting engagement activities including, building collaboration among nurses, superintendents and providers, building trust in the community, effective marketing and communication strategies
  • Providing guidance on efficient health care operations to ensure sustainable school health partnerships (Ex. Consent form, Memorandum of understanding, patient scheduling and staffing strategies, safety, scope of services)
  • Designing and constructing all school health models (See Resources tab for more information)
  • Developing performance metrics & evaluation strategies
  • Modeling finances
  • Managing grants
  • Planning programs
  • Partnering with various government entities on policy and program development
