Buy Your Rubber Duck Racers at Kroger for the First Ever Great Scioto Duck Race to Raise Funds for Pediatric Research

This Labor Day Weekend, something new is making waves.  The Great Scioto Duck Race, organized by The Development Board of Nationwide Children’s Hospital, will take place on Sunday, September 2 at Genoa Park on the Scioto Mile. Come cheer on thousands of rubber ducks as they are dropped into the Scioto River from the Broad Street bridge and race to the finish line.

Buy your rubber racing duck entry at participating Kroger stores for just $5 each August 1 through August 18.

One lucky duck will win a first prize of a one-year prepaid lease for a BMW 1 Series Convertible courtesy of BMW Financial Services; second prize winner will win FREE groceries for a year from Kroger; and third prize will win FREE car washes for a year from Moo Moo Express Car Wash.

The fun begins at 9 a.m. with a Great Scioto 5K for grown-ups, and a short fun run for kids (duck attire optional). The Great Scioto Duck Race will begin at noon at the Broad Street Bridge. The day will also include some of the finest food trucks in town and family activities that you won’t want to miss. Best of all, 100 percent of the proceeds from of this event benefits pediatric research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
