Board and Fundraising Group Opportunities
Fundraising groups have been at the heart of Nationwide Children's Hospital since its beginning in 1894. Over 130 years ago, a group of citizens held a bake sale to raise money for the care of sick, impoverished children. That effort led to the opening of Nationwide Children’s Hospital and has been deeply rooted in our fundraising efforts ever since.
Development Board
The Development Board is a dynamic group of Columbus area business professionals committed to raising funds to support various programs at Nationwide Children's Hospital. The group was founded in 1971. Since that time membership has grown to approximately 150 members (both active and lifetime status).Butterfly Guild
Butterfly Guild of Nationwide Children’s Hospital is an organization of women committed to raising funds for Hospice and Palliative programs at Nationwide Children's Hospital, and trace their roots to the hospital’s beginnings. Butterfly Guild is one of the oldest women’s organizations in Columbus, originating in the 1890s.
TWIG
TWIG is groups of women throughout central Ohio who support Nationwide Children’s Hospital through a wide variety of fundraising projects. TWIG groups operate independently, as well as participate in larger projects as a whole organization. Since their inception, they have raised more than $25 million to support patient care, education and research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. TWIG- Together With Important Goals
Women's Board
The Women's Board was part of the original vision of the hospital when it was founded in 1892. For more than 120 years, the Women's Board has been serving the hospital and raising funds to support the hospital's mission of providing outstanding health care to all children, no matter what their family's financial situation.
