This isn’t just another fundraiser—it’s a chance to rally the legal community around a cause that directly
impacts the lives of vulnerable children and families. Lawyers for Kids (LFK) is a unique medical-legal
partnership at Nationwide Children’s Hospital that unites lawyers and medical providers to address both the
physical health of patients and the legal challenges that directly impact their well-being. LFK attorneys fight for
families facing systemic barriers that threaten children’s health and stability. The program has prevented
evictions, ensured safe housing conditions, secured medical care and equipment after insurance denials, kept
children in school with appropriate special education services, and provided critical counsel in cases involving
custody, domestic violence, and guardianship of medically complex children.
