Biography

Monica I. Ardura, DO, MSCS, FAAP, FPIDS is a member of the Section of Infectious Diseases at Nationwide Children's Hospital, medical director of the Host Defense Program, and Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include infectious diseases in children, with an emphasis on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infections in immunocompromised children including those with underlying malignancies and solid organ and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation recipients. Dr. Ardura is a clinical educator committed to fellow education in this area and serves as the Program Director for the Infectious Diseases Host Defense Fellowship and Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship.
