Biography

Diego A. Cruz Vidal, MD, is a member of the Infectious Diseases Section in the Department of Pediatrics at Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Dr. Cruz Vidal earned his medical degree from Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia. He completed pediatric residency training at both Universidad del Valle / Hospital Universitario del Valle and Nationwide Children's Hospital, and a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Nationwide Children's Hospital. 

His clinical and research interests include medical education, antimicrobial resistance, infections in immunocompromised hosts, care of people living with HIV, and the host immune response to severe infections and critical illness.
