Pilates is a physical fitness program that focuses on the core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced and which are essential to providing support for the spine. In particular, Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath, align the spine, and strengthen the deep torso muscles. Pilates is a great way to enhance core strength and improve stability. It also provides the unique opportunity to progress strength through the end ranges of flexibility, helping prevent injury.
