- Swedish Massage: This form uses touch, including gentle stroking, friction, kneading, compression, and passive joint movements, within the normal range of motion.
- Manual Lymphatic Drainage: This therapy gently moves congested fluids in the body to relieve pain, tension and fatigue, and to reduce edema and swelling.
- Myofascial Release: Fascia covers and connects every muscle, nerve and organ. When this structure becomes “stuck,” movement can become limited and, over time, painful. Myofascial release involves applying gentle sustained pressure to restrictions to help eliminate pain and restore motion.
- Sports Massage: This invigorating type of massage therapy prepares the body and muscles for athletic competition or physical activity if performed pre-event. Post-event, calming and rehabilitative massage therapy assists with the aches and pains of activity.
- Post-Operative Massage: Post-Operative helps improve circulation, reduce scar tissue accumulation and decrease swelling in surgically repaired areas.
- Trigger Point: A trigger point is a localized “knot” or spasm that is tender when compressed. It not only affects the muscle where the trigger point is located, but also causes “referred pain.” Trigger points are located in a taut band of muscles fibers. The therapist will locate and deactivate them using finger pressure.

What to Expect During a Massage Therapy Session
- The massage therapist will talk to you to determine the focus of treatment for the day and will help you become comfortable on the massage table.

- The massage treatment session should not be painful, but it may be uncomfortable at times.
- We ask that you tell the therapist at any time if you experience pain, discomfort or pressure that is too heavy or too much to tolerate comfortably.
- Massage therapy sessions are available in 30-and 60-minute treatments.
