Pediatric Orthopedics: Why Us?

US News World Report Honor Roll

US News and World Report for Orthopedics

Orthopedics has the largest outpatient clinic volume at Nationwide Children’s, with an average 3% increase in surgical volume per year and a total 44% increase in total case volume over the past 10 years. This continued growth with excellent outcomes highlights the expertise and dedication of our team.

In 2024, we celebrated the opening of the Livingston Orthopedic & Surgery Center on West Campus. In this innovative pediatric center, the Orthopedics team provides convenient, comprehensive outpatient surgical services, on-site imaging, and sports and orthopedic physical therapy. The state-of-the-art building features an 11,000 square foot rehabilitation gymnasium, as well as onsite orthotics and prosthetics services.

We also established two new specialty programs:

Commitment to Innovation

Our Center for Orthopedic Intervention is thriving as an incubator and training program for growing new ideas. As of January 2025, there are five patents pending from the center. • Technology Development Fund: Long-term Halo Traction
  • Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North American (POSNA): Dynamic Spinal Cord Monitoring
