Amy Biddle, MSN, RN, Director of Clinical Services, The Heart Center
Amy Biddle has extensive clinical and leadership experience in pediatric critical care having worked at nationally renowned pediatric medical centers. Her focus is to lead nursing and other allied health personnel in strategic directives in order to ensure world class patient/family care throughout The Heart Center. Amy received her undergraduate degrees from Northern Kentucky University, Highland Heights, Kentucky, and Carlow University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was awarded her Masters Degree in Nursing with Nursing Administration focus from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Daniel Gomez, CCP, FPP, Chief of Perfusion Services, The Heart Center
As Chief, Dan Gomez supervises and oversees the operational and capital budget for the Cardiovascular Perfusion Department. He also manages The Heart Center cardiac databases, as well as all day-to-day cardiac operating room activities. Additionally, Dan provides cardiopulmonary bypass support during cardiac surgery and assists with Ventricular Assist Device, Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation and Autotransfusion set-up. His clinical research interests include microemboli transmission during cardiopulmonary bypass, microcircuitry for neonates, and donor blood exposure in cardiac surgical patients. Dan earned his BS in Medical Technology from Southern Illinois University, as well as a BS in Perfusion Technology from St. Louis University. He has been board certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion since 1996.
Vannessa Moses, Service Line Administrator, Cardiac Diagnostic, The Heart Center
Vannessa Moses brings operational experience coupled with strategic planning and business development experience to the Heart Center. She is responsible for all ambulatory clinics; as well as non-invasive diagnostics. She focuses on building strong, collaborative teams that are nimble and able to adjust to meet the Heart Center’s Ambulatory scope. The Heart Center offers 14 clinics throughout central and southern Ohio, offering non-invasive services at all locations. Vannessa has an undergraduate degree in English from Cleveland State University and a Masters in Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University.
Jaime Manley, MSN, RN, CPN, Program Manager Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU), The Heart Center
Jaime has been employed at Nationwide Children’s Hospital since 1999. In addition to now being the manager in the CTICU, she has also served as staff RN, clinical leader, and program manager of the inpatient cardiology unit. As a Program Manager she promotes patient health and well-being by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning in the patient care area; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams; and directing and developing her unit to assure patients are receiving quality care from compassionate, dedicated nursing staff. She graduated from Otterbein University in 1998 with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and received her Master’s in Nursing Administration degree from Mount Carmel College of Nursing in 2016.
Stephanie Ishmael, BSN, RN, CPN, Program Manager Cardiac Care Unit, The Heart Center
Stephanie has been employed at Nationwide Children’s Hospital since 2000, working on the cardiac unit as a staff RN, Clinical Leader, and now the Program Manager. She collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to provide the best care for our patients and families. She is investing in mentoring and coaching her staff to be the best that they can be. She began her nursing studies at Community Hospital in Springfield graduating with a Diploma Degree in Nursing. She then continued on with her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Ohio University and is currently enrolled at Mt. Carmel College of Nursing in the Master Program for Nursing Administration.
