Dr. Price has provided more than 16 years of service and dedication to the Ohio AAP. He has served on the Ohio AAP Executive Committee and Pediatric Care Council as well as a past chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Committee on Child Health Financing.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics (Ohio AAP), representing more than 2,900 members in the state of Ohio, is proud to announce the recipient of our highest honor, the 2021 Elizabeth Spencer Ruppert, MD, FAAP, Outstanding Pediatrician of the Year Award, is Jonathan Price, MD, FAAP. This award recognizes a pediatrician for distinguished achievements and outstanding contributions to the advancement of pediatric care and education for patients and physicians in Ohio and across the country.

Dr. Price has provided more than 16 years of service and dedication to the Ohio AAP. He has served on the Ohio AAP Executive Committee and Pediatric Care Council as well as a past chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Committee on Child Health Financing. He has a special commitment to the practice of pediatrics, bringing together
pediatricians and medical directors of managed care organizations to collaborate in finding practical ways to promote children's health.

A general pediatrician at Nationwide Children's Urgent Care Centers and a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Dr. Price also served as the Medical Director of the Interdisciplinary Feeding Evaluation Clinic, serving young children with feeding problems for reasons such as autism, oralmotor
delays or behavioral problems.

The award was presented at the Annual Business Meeting on October 30, 2021, during the Virtual Ohio AAP Annual Meeting.
