Thirty-One Gifts Raises More Than $160,000 in Support of On Our Sleeves™

July 31, 2019

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Thirty-One Gifts and its charitable program, Thirty-One Gives, raised more than $163,000 in support of On Our Sleeves™, the movement to transform children’s mental health. From March through the end of May, Thirty-One Gifts customers had an opportunity to round up to the nearest dollar or donate an amount of their choice.

Developed by Nationwide Children’s Hospital, On Our Sleeves was launched in the fall of 2018 with the goal of raising awareness about the one in five children living across America with a mental illness and ending the stigma often associated with these conditions. This past May 9, National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day, the movement was introduced nationally.

“We sincerely want to thank Thirty-One Gifts, their independent sales consultants and their customers for their generosity and their compassion,” said Niki Shafer, senior vice president, Outreach, Nationwide Children’s Hospital Foundation. “Their generosity will help the On Our Sleeves movement address the staggering statistics by providing educational resources, advocacy tools and research opportunities.”

“We know it is critical to help break stigmas around mental health and are proud to partner with Nationwide Children’s Hospital by joining the On Our Sleeves movement.” said Cindy Monroe, founder & CEO, Thirty-One Gifts. “Our sisterhood of more than 60,000 independent sales consultants understand the butterfly effect from starting the conversation so those on their journey to treat mental illness don’t feel alone and know that Thirty-One stands together with them.”

Thirty-One Gives works to empower girls, women and families by helping them build the confidence and self-esteem needed to live a purposeful, thriving life. Since 2012, Thirty-One Gives has donated $100 million in product and cash to charitable organizations that share the Gives mission.
