Nationwide Children's Hospital Named To Forbes' 'America's Best Employers' List

June 18, 2018

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Nationwide Children’s Hospital has been named to Forbes’ “America’s Best Employers” list for 2018 in the top large employers category (companies with more than 5,000 U.S.-based employees).

Despite it being the first time Nationwide Children’s has been named on the list, it is the top-ranked children’s hospital. Nationwide Children’s joins 25 hospitals and health systems named to the national list of 500 top large employers. Other Columbus-based employers honored on the list include AEP, Nationwide Insurance, Battelle, Bravo Brio Restaurant Group and DSW.

America’s Best Employers were chosen based on an independent survey from a sample of more than 30,000 employees working for companies employing at least 1,000 people in the U.S.  Employees participated anonymously through online panels that allowed employees to openly state their opinions.

Survey evaluation was based on two criteria: participants’ willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family, and their own evaluation of other employers in their respective industries. In addition, survey participants answered 35 questions about work-related topics such as working condition, salary, potential for development and company image.
