Nationwide Children’s Close To Home Centers with Urgent Care are always designed to support services already provided by community physicians, such as laboratory, radiology and urgent care.

The physicians, caregivers and support staff at Nationwide Children’s work closely with the community pediatricians and family practice physicians in order to understand the community’s needs and determine the types of specialty clinics and services Nationwide Children’s may provide.

Nationwide Children’s Close To Home care model focuses on the importance of a “medical home” and experts always advise parents to first consult with their child’s physician. Additionally, the Nationwide Children’s model is designed to deliver care in partnership with a patient’s primary care physician, which includes consistent, timely reporting to physicians regarding care provided to their patients.
