Registration is now open for the 22nd Annual Junior Golf Classic, slated for Monday, July 7at The Ohio State University Golf Club, Scarlet and Gray Courses. The event is organized by the Women’s Board of Nationwide Children’s Hospital with all proceeds benefitting the hospital.
“Well kids helping sick kids” has been the motto for this annual junior golf event since its inception. The tournament provides an opportunity for youths ages 9-18 to play the game they love and give back to their community by helping raise funds for the areas of greatest need at Nationwide Children’s.
Entries are open to male and female golfers who will not have reached their 19th birthday by July 6, 2014. An entry fee and advance registration is required and can be obtained at www.ncc-golf.com/junior-golf-classic. The registration deadline is Friday, June 27. Space is limited, so register today.
This year, the “Tag-A-Bag” campaign will provide each junior golfer with a personalized bag tag, donated by a contributor to the program. The contributor is recognized in the event program and the donation is tax deductible. To become a contributor, visit giving.nationwidechildrens.org/juniorgolf-tagabag.
Last year, the Junior Golf Classic welcomed a field of 90 golfers and raised more than $15,000 for Nationwide Children’s. The event is free to the public as spectators.
