Dr. Kevin Klingele Appointed Chief of Orthopedics at Nationwide Childrens Hospital

Kevin E. Klingele, MD, recently was appointed chief of Orthopedics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. In his previous role, Dr. Klingele was the interim chief of Orthopedics. He will continue to serve as the surgical director of Sports Medicine at Nationwide Children’s. Dr. Klingele is director of Orthopedic Education and Clinical Research at the hospital, and is a clinical assistant professor of Orthopedics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Dr. Klingele received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Indiana University and followed with a fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. His clinical interests include adolescent and children’s sports medicine, pediatric trauma, hip and pelvis reconstruction and lower extremity reconstruction. Dr. Klingele is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, The Columbus Orthopaedic Society, The Ohio Orthopaedic Society, The Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America and Gillespie Pediatric Orthopaedic Study Group.

The Orthopedic team at Nationwide Children’s treats all conditions and disorders, which include fractures, neuromuscular disorders, scoliosis, musculoskeletal tumors, spinal disorders, pediatric hand and foot disorders,  limb length discrepancy, bone and joint trauma and infections, pediatric and adolescent sports medicine, etc., in infants, children and adolescents.
