During the entire month of June, and at all central Ohio and Ohio Valley Kroger grocery check-outs, customers will have the opportunity to purchase a paper butterfly for $1 (or donate more). One hundred percent of every dollar raised from the sale of the paper butterflies benefit patients receiving care at Nationwide Children’s.
The campaign kick-off celebrations at the three Kroger locations (Hilliard, Graceland and Powell), feature complimentary hot dogs, Kroger’s mascot, Pepe, balloon artists, face painters, the opportunity to participate in “The Columbus Wishing Tree Project” and athletic trainers from Nationwide Children’s Sports Medicine who will offer fun flexibility and agility drills for kids of all ages. The Sports Medicine team at the hospital also will have resources available on injury prevention, conditioning and age-appropriate activities.
Also available at the event, will be summer safety tips for parents including sun, car, window, pool, playground and backyard safety for their kids.
