Nationwide Childrens Hospital Invites Community to Celebration Event June 10

May 1, 2012

You made it possible. Now it’s time to celebrate! Nationwide Children’s Hospital extends an invite to the central Ohio community to check out THEIR new children’s hospital. On Sunday, June 10, 2012, Nationwide Children’s will host a free Community Celebration Day as part of its weekend-long grand opening events line-up.

The Community Celebration Day will take place 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday at the hospital’s downtown campus in the park located at the corner of Parsons and Livingston Avenues and inside the new main hospital. In addition to the community, former patients of Nationwide Children’s are welcomed and encouraged to join the celebration. They will receive a special recognition upon entering.

The event is open and free to the community and will feature activities for the entire family including tours of the new hospital; interactive education stations for kids; story-telling garden; information stations from community partner organizations; activities for all ages; and light snacks and refreshments.

Also, The Columbus Wishing Tree Project will be on-site and open to those that would like to submit well wishes to any current or former patient of Nationwide Children’s, or general well wishes for the hospital and community.
