Ohio’s First Lady Karen Kasich to visit Nationwide Children’s Hospital
F.A.N. Club at Livingston Elementary School

(parking at Livingston Elementary on southeast side of building; parking lot entrance located on Carpenter Ave. which is one-way northbound)

Who/Why:
Mrs. Kasich will share with F.A.N. Club participants about the importance of physical activity and healthy eating and will lead the children through a series of exercises.  F.A.N. Club students will also demonstrate for Mrs. Kasich some of the exercises they’ve learned.

The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Fitness and Nutrition (F.A.N.) Club was established in 2008 as part of the hospital’s pediatric obesity initiative to help 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students experience fun activities to keep them fit and healthy through physical activity and education. The after-school and summer F.A.N. Club includes activities such as strength training, games, flag football, stretching, cardio-aerobic activities and nutrition and there is no cost to club participants.
