More Than 160 Nationwide Childrens Hospital Physicians Top 2007 Best Doctors List

January 18, 2008

More than 160 of Nationwide Childrens Hospital medical staff were highlighted nationally on the prestigious 2007 Best Doctors list. Best Doctors is the world's leading resource for patients, families and physicians seeking expert medical resources and guidance to treat illnesses and injuries of all kinds.

The Best Doctors list selection takes place through a peer-to-peer review process in which thousands of doctors nationally participate. The process takes place biennially. Specialists complete ballots on other doctors in their own and related specialties. During this nine- to 12-month period, doctors may also nominate and provide information on other physicians who they think should be considered in the peer review process.

The Best Doctors Inc. database for 2007 contains names of nearly 41,000 physicians in the United States in more than 400 sub-specialties, all chosen through the peer-to-peer review process. Only physicians who earn a consensus of peer support and meet additional criteria researched by the Best Doctors staff are included on the list.
