Available now through December 31, 2007, TWIG, a volunteer organization of Nationwide Childrens Hospital, will sell their annual Holiday cards to support various programs at the hospital.
This years TWIG Holiday cards feature work by local artists Juli May Hess (New Albany, Ohio 43054) and Rusty Fletcher (Granville, Ohio 43023). May Hess works and teaches art classes from her home studio, and enjoys painting in all mediums finding inspiration from her children. Fletcher is a freelance illustrator and works in the field of childrens literature. From his home studio, he creates art for national clients with recent projects including Harper Collins, Simon & Shuster, Scholastic and Little Golden Books.
A package of 12 cards and 13 envelopes are $10 with both artists designs available with an inside greeting or blank. To view the Holiday card designs and to place an order, visit www.NationwideChildrens.org/Twig.
Also available is the 2007 Greetings from Nationwide Childrens Program. This program, sponsored by TWIG, allows for Holiday cards to be hand-signed, addressed and mailed for a minimum donation of $5/card. Each card notifies the recipient that a gift has been given in their name to Nationwide Childrens. TWIG, Together With Important Goals, are groups of central Ohio women who support Nationwide Childrens Hospital through a variety of fundraising projects. TWIG operates independently and participates in large-scale fundraising projects as an organization and with other hospital auxiliary groups.
Since their inception, TWIG has raised more than $25 million to support patient care, education and research at Nationwide Childrens. Fundraising events with TWIG involvement include The Memorial Tournament and BIA Parade of Homes. TWIG holds an annual holiday craft bazaar and sells Holiday cards and gift wrap.
