Tween Brands and Nationwide Childrens Hospital Team Up for Give Hope National Fundraising Campaign

March 14, 2014

Tween Brands and Nationwide Children’s Hospital have teamed up for “Give Hope,” a national fundraising campaign to benefit research at the hospital and to help patients and families who come from all over the world for expert care at Nationwide Children’s. The campaign began today and runs through April 19, 2014, in more than 900 Justice & Brothers retail stores across the country.

“We are pleased to partner with such a nationally acclaimed hospital,” said Tween Brands CEO Mike Rayden. “Our business and associates have supported Nationwide Children’s Hospital for many years. This campaign is the next logical step in further demonstrating our commitment to helping young children.”

Customers of Justice & Brothers will be encouraged to participate in Give Hope by making a donation at the time of their purchase. Donations also may be made at any time online at shopjustice.com/donations.

“Tween Brands has been a philanthropic partner with Nationwide Children’s Hospital for many decades, and we appreciate their continued support through this new partnership,” said Steve Allen, MD, chief executive officer of Nationwide Children’s. “Donations raised through Give Hope will fund research at the hospital conducted by our world-renowned scientists and physicians – research that is helping children around the globe as we discover better treatments and cures for childhood diseases.”

Faith Johnson, 8, of Galloway, Ohio (43119), is featured as the national patient champion in Give Hope as she is the face of the campaign in signage at all Justice & Brothers stores across the country. Faith, a patient of Nationwide Children’s, was diagnosed with cerebral medullablastoma (a brain tumor) in October 2012. After more than a year of treatment including surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, just last month Faith celebrated as she rang her “last chemo bell” marking the end of her treatment. Today, Faith is excited to just be a kid again and loves playing with her friends and family.

Tween Brands and Nationwide Children’s encourage the public to consider Give Hope in order to give a world of hope to sick kids everywhere.
