Encore Mile

2012 will be remembered as the year that The Nationwide Better Health Columbus Marathon & 1/2 Marathon became The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon & 1/2 Marathon. New meaning was breathed into a 34-year tradition, with patients from Nationwide Children’s lining the marathon route, inspiring runners and walkers to keep on moving, one foot after another.

The Encore Mile is a reunion mile for all the kids who have been a Mile Champion for Nationwide Children’s Hospital on each mile of a previous Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon. Because we're so inspired, motivated, and empowered by them, we want them to come back for another round!

Watch out for the Encore Mile, located at Mile 10 – it might be the rowdiest mile you cross. These Mile Champions are sure to pump you up! Encore, please!
