Biography

Rosara Bass, MD, MS, is an attending pediatric gastroenterologist and physician nutrition specialist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and an assistant professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Dr. Bass received her undergraduate degree from Duke University, Master of Science degree in Nutrition from Columbia University and medical degree from The Ohio State University. She completed her residency in Pediatrics and fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she served as chief fellow. Dr. Bass cares for children with disorders spanning all aspects of general gastroenterology, with a focus on pancreatic and nutritional disorders as well as gastrointestinal problems related to cystic fibrosis.

Dr. Bass is a recipient of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Harry Shwachman Clinical Investigator Award and was selected for membership in DIGEST, a program dedicated to developing a network of gastroenterologists across North America with expertise in the care of people with cystic fibrosis. She is active with the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN), previously serving on the Research Committee and most recently was selected to serve on the Pancreas Committee.
