Biography

Matthew C. Beran, MD, is a faculty member of the Department of Orthopaedics at Nationwide Children's Hospital and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Ohio State University. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Beran completed two fellowships, his first from OrthoCarolina Sports Medicine Center in Charlotte, NC in the field of Sports Medicine/Shoulder & Elbow and a second, at Nationwide Children's Hospital, Columbus, Ohio in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Beran is one of the only dual fellowship-trained surgeons in those fields in the state of Ohio.

Primary clinical interests include pediatric adolescent sports medicine, general orthopaedics and pediatric trauma. Dr. Beran is a member of the Columbus Orthopaedic Society, Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA), the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA).
