Lisa Lansdon, PhD, FACMG, is a Clinical Director within the Steve and Cindy Rasmussen Institute for Genomic Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She is certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics. She earned her PhD in Genetics from the University of Iowa, conducting research on the genetic basis of cleft lip and palate. She then completed her fellowship training at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. After fellowship, she joined Children’s Mercy as an Assistant Clinical Director of the Molecular Genetics Laboratory with a primary focus on pediatric cancer genomic testing and was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri—Kansas City School of Medicine. She served in this role for 4.5 years before joining Nationwide Children’s in 2026.
Dr. Lansdon is on the Editorial Board for the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics’ Genetics in Medicine and Genetics in Medicine Open journals, is the Chair of the Cancer Genomic Consortium’s (CGC) Macrogenomic Event Detection in Solid Tumor Working Group, and is a member of the CGC’s Education Committee and the Association for Molecular Pathology’s Membership Affairs Committee.
