Biography

Ezgi Saylam, MD, is a pediatric neurologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and an assistant professor of Pediatrics and Neurology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed her Pediatrics and Child Neurology residency and Neuromuscular Fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital/OSU, following her medical education in Turkey.

Dr. Saylam is board certified in Neurology with special qualifications in Child Neurology. Her clinical and research interests include development and clinical evaluation of gene therapies and exon skipping drugs for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Her work aims to advance understanding of the effectiveness, safety and long-term durability of emerging therapeutic approaches. Dr. Saylam has been recognized with several honors, including the World Muscle Society Fellowship Award, the American Academy of Neurology Resident Research Scholarship Award, and the Child Neurology Society Outstanding Junior Member Award.
