Biography

Erin R. McKnight, MD, MPH, FASAM is a member of the Division of Adolescent Medicine at Nationwide Children's Hospital and an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. She is board certified in pediatrics, adolescent medicine, and addiction medicine, and is the Medical Director of the Substance Use Treatment and Recovery Program in the Division of Adolescent Medicine.  She is co-director of the Opioid Safety Task Force, leading opioid stewardship efforts at Nationwide Children's Hospital over the past 10 years, and has recently begun implementation of an opioid overdose and naloxone distribution program throughout the institution. Her research interests include improving care for adolescents with opioid use disorder as well as the implementation of opioid overdose education and naloxone distribution for overdose prevention at the community and population health level.
