Eduardo Castillo-Leon, MD, is a pediatric gastroenterologist at Nationwide Children’s and an assistant professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Universidad de San Martín de Porres in Lima, Peru, and completed his pediatric residency at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta through Morehouse School of Medicine. He subsequently completed his fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Nationwide Children’s, where he received additional training in gastrointestinal motility disorders.
Dr. Castillo-Leon specializes in neurogastroenterology and motility disorders, while also providing care across general pediatric gastroenterology. His clinical and research interests include neurostimulation therapies, particularly gastric electrical stimulation and vagal nerve stimulation. His research focuses on developing and evaluating new approaches to improve care for children with complex gastrointestinal symptoms.
