Biography

Dashjuania "DJ" Elmore, MS, LAT, ATC, joined Nationwide Children's Hospital after serving as Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine and Senior Woman Administrator at Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, from 2022 to 2026. In this role, she led the sports medicine department and oversaw healthcare operations for NCAA Division I student-athletes, including budget management, insurance administration, risk management, and strategic partnerships to enhance athletic healthcare delivery.

Prior to Presbyterian College, DJ served as Head Athletic Trainer at Quincy University from 2018 to 2022. There, she provided comprehensive medical care for NCAA Division II student-athletes across multiple sports, including football, men's and women's basketball, and track and field/cross country. Her responsibilities included injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, emergency care, concussion management, and return-to-play decision-making.

Earlier in her career, DJ worked in collegiate and secondary school settings, caring for athletes across a variety of sports. She collaborated closely with orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, strength and conditioning professionals, and coaches to deliver physician-directed care, rehabilitation services, event coverage, and performance-focused injury prevention programs.

DJ earned a Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training from Capital University in 2015 and a Master of Science in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, and Rehabilitation Sciences from California University of Pennsylvania in 2016. She is Board of Certification (BOC) certified, licensed to practice athletic training, and an active member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) and the Ohio Athletic Trainers' Association (OATA).
