Biography

Amy Tyler, MD, MSCS, is the Division Chief for Hospital Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Tyler is a nationally recognized leader in quality improvement and implementation science. She is a federally funded implementation and health services researcher in the Center for Child Health Equity and Outcomes Research at the Abigail Wexner Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Dr. Tyler has devoted her career to developing generalizable methods for implementing research findings at the bedside to improve health care and outcomes for all patients. She is fellowship trained in health services research and dissemination and implementation science and has a Master of Science in Clinical Science.

Her research focuses on developing effective implementation strategies to promote high-value, high-quality, and equitable care, specifically emphasizing the de-implementation of care that does not provide a benefit or may cause harm. She possesses advanced training in quality improvement and excels in leading and participating in local and multi-site, interdisciplinary improvement and implementation research projects and collaboratives that involve data-driven improvement with a strong emphasis on clinical effectiveness, operational excellence, equity, and value.
