Biography

Amy Garee, APRN, is a pediatric nurse practitioner with the Advanced Illness Management Team.

Amy received her BS in Nursing from Otterbein University (OH) and her MSN from Wright State University (OH). She is currently pursuing her PhD in clinical nursing research at Vanderbilt University (TN). She is board certified as a PNP-PC through PNCB. She joined Nationwide Children's in 1997 as a pediatric hematology-oncology nurse. Amy serves on the Ethics Committee at Nationwide Children's and is a member of the Bioethics Network of Ohio. She is also a member of the Pediatric Palliative Care Special Interest Group through Children’s National Medical Center. Amy is a member of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association and is reinstating the Central Ohio Chapter with some of her colleagues and serves as the membership committee chair. She enjoys Evidenced Based Practice Research and bringing it to the bedside. She resides in the Sunbury area with her husband, and their three children, Isaac, Victoria and Nicholas.
