Perry Power

Perry was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) in June of 2021. After being in chemotherapy for two years, and participating in clinical trial treatments for future advancements, he officially rang the bell at Nationwide Children’s Hospital signifying the end of his treatment.

When Perry was going through treatment for leukemia, his mom, Brittny, decided to make bracelets to sell and raise money for the hematology and oncology unit at Nationwide Children's.

“We must find reasons to be thankful and remind ourselves to take things one day at a time,” says Brittny. “Our grim reality is that we are all, or will inevitably be, faced with hard times.”

By reminding herself to take things one day at a time, one day & co. was born.

Brittny has been creating and hand-making bracelets as a way to raise money for kids and families on the hematology and oncology floors at Nationwide Children’s. Her hope was to help bring any glimmer of happiness and comfort possible to the families but soon realized these bracelets were helping her, too, by focusing her mind on things she had to be thankful for.

“These bracelets are for me. They’re for you,” Brittny shares. “But most of all they’re to bring as much happiness to the Nationwide Children’s hematology and oncology floors as those kiddos and their families deserve.”

All proceeds from one day & co directly benefit the children and families at Nationwide Children’s, the hospital Brittny credits for saving Perry’s life.
