The Summer Scientist Series exposes students (high school and undergraduates) to the scientific method and careers in medicine and biomedical research. Topic areas to be explored include, Basic/Discovery Science, Translational/Clinical Science and Population Health Research. The Summer Scientist Series is hosted on Thursday evenings from 4-5 PM.
Series Objectives
- Discuss themes in scientific inquiry and ethics
- Explore careers in medical research
- Identify career options and steps to achieve career goals
- Create an opportunity for collegiality and social interaction among aspiring young scientists.
Intended Audience
- Undergraduates and high schoolers interested in going into medical research.
Cost
- There is no charge to attend, but registration is required.
