Youth & Young Adult Employment Program – Paid Summer Work Experiences for Students
Nationwide Children’s is seeking youth and young adults (ages 16 - 24) to participate in paid summer work learning experiences! Students will have the opportunity to learn, build their skills and gain valuable work experience within a health care setting.
Available Sessions:
- 8-Week Session (continuous employment): June 3 – August 1
- Sessions will not be held during the week of July 1-5
- 4-Week Session: June 3 – June 28
- 4-Week Session: July 8 – August 1
Scheduling
- Work schedules are typically Monday-Friday
- Approximately 4 hours per day/ 20 hours per week starting at 9 or 10 a.m.
- Job descriptions and tasks may vary by department
Registration
Registration will close on Friday, April 26. If selected for the pre-screening process, you will receive an email to schedule a virtual interview chat before Friday, May 3. Due to the overwhelming interest in the program, if you are not selected we will be in touch to highlight more opportunities in the fall including the Nationwide Children’s High School Career Academy and other professional learning experience events.

- 9 young adults received employment offers
2022 Program
- 73 young adults participated
- 66 departments hosted
- 12 young adults received employment offers
2023 Program
- 89 young adults participated
- 61 departments hosted
- 10 young adults received employment offers
Students also learned other valuable skills including education on financial literacy.
