My Bridge 2 Success

Healthy Neighborhoods Healthy Families’ My Bridge 2 Success supports families in their journey toward wellness and financial stability in three key areas:

  • Financial Literacy Counseling
  • Community Programming
  • Mobility Mentoring & Matched Savings Program

Financial Literacy Counseling

Free financial counseling is offered in both group and one-on-one sessions to high school students and adults.

Our counselors partner with other Nationwide Children's Hospital Community Wellness programs to help participants learn more about their finances and support them in:

  • Budgeting
  • Savings
  • Debt management
  • Navigating the credit system
  • Planning for a healthier financial future
Community Programming

Community workshops and clinics are offered to support both the South Side and Linden neighborhoods. This programming aims to address frequent and reoccurring issues that create barriers toward financial well-being for community members.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Get assistance with legal issues preventing stable income
  • Financial issues preventing financial stability
  • Public benefits enrollment
  • Other resources that support financial self-sufficiency
Mobility Mentoring & Matched Savings Program

This program is designed to help adults become financially secure and self-sufficient. Participants will work one-on-one with their mentor monthly to set goals, problem solve and navigate through different barriers. Our mentors help support growth and stability in five key areas, including:

  • Family stability
  • Well-being
  • Financial management
  • Education and training
  • Career management

Participants enrolled in the program gain access to a matched savings component. Each dollar that a participant saves within the program will be matched with another dollar for up to $5,000. Saving goals will be created with My Bridge 2 Success mentors.

Who can participate?

All participants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the matched savings program.

All participants must show proof of:

  1. Income
  2. Annual income
  3. Home address
  4. Household size

If a participant is ineligible for the matched savings program, they will be contacted by their mentor or program contact leads.

Requirements

  • Must reside in a Healthy Neighborhood Healthy Families zip code (43205, 43206, 43207, 43211, 43224) or be referred from another Nationwide Children’s Community Wellness program.
  • Is 18 years or older
  • Participants must be employed part-time or full-time consistently for a period of 90 days or longer
  • Have an earned income that does not exceed the amount in the table below
