Family Practice

The section of Family Practice at Nationwide Children's Hospital is primarily composed of family physicians practicing in central Ohio who refer patients to Nationwide Children's for testing and specialty care. Many of these physicians receive training in caring for children at Nationwide Children's, which is very active in teaching Family Practice residents from several local hospitals including The Ohio State University Medical Center. They also participate in continuing medical education (CME) programs sponsored by Nationwide Children's.

This division now offers an approved fellowship training program along with its extensive clinical activities.

Our staff of doctors, athletic trainers and physical therapists are trained to provide age-appropriate care for our patients. We emphasize the importance of early injury recognition and treatment in order to prevent recurring injuries. In addition to treatment, we partner with parents and coaches to focus on injury prevention, conditioning and age-appropriate activities.
