Nursing and Social Work Staff

Lamara Love, BSN, RN, CPN, HNB-BC

Lamara Love graduated from the Ohio State University College of Nursing and has worked as a pediatric nurse for 31 years. She is certified in pediatrics and holistic nursing. Lamara has been at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH) for 28 years; 18 years coordinating the NCH Hospital-Based, Region IV, Help Me Grow Child Find Program. She has been an active member of the NCH Action Network Advocacy Group, belongs to the National Society of Pediatric Nurses and American Holistic Nurses Association. Lamara is the Comprehensive Cerebral Palsy Program Coordinator and is responsible for program development, and operational oversight to include the supervision of nursing and care coordination services. She also coordinates the Nationwide Children’s Ohio Department of Health CMH, Hospital-Based CP Service Coordination Program. The CP Program received NCQA Patient Centered Specialty Practice Recognition, Level 3, under Lamara’s leadership. Her research interest is developing and implementing a holistic approach to improving the health and care of children with Cerebral Palsy. 

Michelle Pontius RN, BSN

Michelle Pontius graduated from Hocking College in 2008 with her LPN, 2010 with her RN and from Ohio University in 2013 with her BSN. She has worked at Nationwide Children's Hospital since 2009 with a background in NICU and pediatric trauma/ED nursing. She joined the CP team in February 2016. Michelle assists families with care coordination and CMH service coordination.

Tamika Woods, RN, BSN

Tamika Woods has been a nurse for 16 years. She graduated from Ohio University with her BSN in 2011. She also graduated from Hocking College with her Associate Degree in Nursing in 2001. She came from OhioHealth with experience in Women’s Health, NICU, Post-Partum, Prenatal and OB/GYN care. Before she obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing, she was a Home Health LPN, and her patients ranged from infants to geriatrics. Tamika assists families with care coordination and CMH service coordination.

Ashley Temple, BSN, RN

Ashley Temple graduated from The Ohio State University College of Nursing in 2012 with her BSN. She has nursing experience working with patients with traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury, as well as, infant to geriatric patients through Home Health Care and Hospice. She began her pediatric nursing career as a float nurse for Nationwide Children’s Hospital Primary Care Centers in November 2015. She had the opportunity as a float nurse to work temporary positions at the Complex Healthcare Clinic and Comprehensive Cerebral Palsy Program. In October 2017, Ashley found her “home” as a permanent nurse with the CP Team. Ashley assists families with care coordination and CMH service coordination.

Sha Clark

Sha Clark is the Social Work CP Program Manager.  She received her BA from Purdue University in 1986 and her MSW from The Ohio State University in 1988.  In 1992 she was certified as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) and received her Supervisor designation (LISW-S) in 2008.  Sha has worked at Nationwide Children's Hospital since 1997 in various areas of the hospital, including the Cerebral Palsy clinic since 2001.

Sha’s role is to assist families with the social, emotional and financial difficulties that can occur as a result of having a child with Cerebral Palsy. She can provide information about the hospital, link families with community resources, and assist with care coordination.  Sha also serves as an advocate for the patient and family and can address any additional needs that may be identified by the family or the Cerebral Palsy Program staff.
