Carl H. Backes, Jr, MD, is a member of the Center for Perinatal Research at the Abigail Wexner Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital. He is an associate professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and attending neonatologist and attending cardiologist at Nationwide Children's Hospital. His clinical interests include the care of premature infants born with congenital heart disease.
