Tim Hortons Raises More than $32,000 in Support of On Our Sleeves™

December 4, 2019

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Restaurant chain Tim Hortons Inc. held its annual “Smile Cookie” campaign this fall in support of On Our Sleeves™, the movement to transform children’s mental health that was created by Nationwide Children’s Hospital. From Sept. 16-22, participating Tim Hortons restaurants and their associates raised $32,964.72, a record- breaking effort.

“Childhood mental health is an often overlooked and vastly underfunded component of pediatric health and research, but thanks to Tim Hortons and their generous staff and customers, we are continuing these meaningful conversations and funding life-saving research together,” said Amanda Dove, director of corporate partnerships, Nationwide Children’s Hospital Foundation.

This year, local Tim Hortons restaurants joined more than 40 businesses and organizations that have participated in fundraising activations for On Our Sleeves. A movement to start conversations about mental health and wellness in an effort to break the stigma, On Our Sleeves also aims to serve as an educational resource and fund vital research.

About On Our Sleeves
Because kids don’t wear their thoughts on their sleeves, we don’t know what they might be going through. That’s why Nationwide Children’s Hospital launched On Our Sleeves™ to build a community of support for children living with mental illness through advocacy, education and fundraising for much-needed research.
