WHAT: National Hockey League Columbus Blue Jackets Captain Nick Foligno and his wife, Janelle, announce significant, far-reaching financial gifts to Boston Children’s Hospital and Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
 
WHEN: Tuesday, October 11, 2016, 1:30 p.m.
 
WHERE: Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Media representatives are asked to park in the lot on the west side of Parsons Ave., between the Orthopedic Center at 479 Parsons Ave. and Research Building III at 575 Children’s Crossroad (building sits on the corner of Livingston and Parsons).  Turn west onto Children’s Crossroad from Parsons Ave. and then turn right into the parking lot.  From there, walk across Parsons Ave. to the main entrance of the hospital where escorts will meet you at the Welcome Desk and provide tokens to exit the lot.

WHY: When Nick and Janelle’s daughter, Milana Maria, was born in October 2013, the Foligno family was thrust into the frightening world of life-threatening congenital heart defects.  The family’s journey brought them to pediatric heart specialists at Boston Children’s and Nationwide Children’s hospitals, resulting in Nick and Janelle’s passion to honor their daughter and impact pediatric congenital heart care and research for children everywhere.
