Nationwide Children’s Hospital will host an internal “countdown celebration” on Monday morning. The hospital will be celebrating with staff as it marks less than one year to go to the opening of the new main hospital in June 2012.

New design elements and features will be unveiled Monday morning, including a new “look” for the hospital.

A media briefing, led by Board Chair Abigail Wexner and CEO Steve Allen, MD, will begin at 10 a.m. At that briefing, Mrs. Wexner and Dr. Allen will topline Nationwide Children’s journey thus far as it reaches this major milestone in its nearly 120-year history.

Fourteen exhibits will showcase never-before-seen design elements and features that will truly transform the patient experience at Nationwide Children’s.
