Ride 4 Autism Bike Tour Slated for April 30

March 28, 2011

The 5th Annual Ride 4 Autism, presented by Cyclist Connection, will be held on Saturday, April 30 in Canal Winchester. This year, all proceeds will benefit patients and families served at the Autism Spectrum Disorders Clinic at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

April is National Autism Awareness Month and this ride will help raise awareness of the 1 in 110 autistic children born each year. This developmental disorder continues to affect thousands of children across the country and this ride will help fund treatment and educational toys for newly diagnosed autistic children.

The ride, designed for all bikers, novice to expert, will have three different routes for participants to choose from: 10, 30 and 75 miles. Each route will begin and end at 200 Cemetery Road, Canal Winchester, Ohio. The three separate routes are based on rider level. The 10-mile route is for families and beginner rides on a flat to rolling surface; the 30-mile loop is for intermediate riders; and the 75-mile route is for the more advanced riders on a hilly surface. Registration is $25 and participants will receive a t-shirt and a raffle ticket for a chance to win a 2011 Giant Cypress ST.
